Support Technician (Level 1/2)
Cole Informatics, LLC is West Tennessee's premier professional services company providing small business information technology leadership and support throughout this area and the Southeast. Our clients range from housing authorities to medical practices and many other business types, all of whom depend heavily upon information technology to serve their clients and customers.
In our tenth year in business and known nationally as leaders within our industry, we aggressively serve clients both remotely and at their locations using state-of-the-art Remote Management and Professional Services Automation software to control, prevent, react to, and track issues experienced by them. A week spent with our company will test what you know (or don't know) about information technology and client services! (And something we're proud of!)
Benefits of working with Cole Informatics include:
- Aggressive compensation for the right candidate
- Blue-sky advancement and leadership potential
- Unlimited certification training (*any* certification!)
- Company provided computer and phone
- Health Insurance
- Paid time off (holidays, personal time, etc.)
- Company credit card for expenses
- Hands-on exposure to bleeding-edge technology daily
- Work with A-Players...we know our stuff!
Strengths You bring to Cole Informatics:
The position for which we are seeking the best candidate will include any or all of the following areas of discipline and related experience...the more you have, the greater your chance of success here:
- Willigness to communicate with clients and vendors on their level (geek or not)
- Awareness of the OSI Model of networking
- Exposure to Active Directory concepts
- Exposure to DNS
- Windows patch management
- Small Business Server (2003 thru 2011)
Extra consideration given to candidates with experience or training with:
- Small Business Server (2003 or newer)
- Business Experience
- Firewall management and deployment
- Routing
- Databases design or theory
- Microsoft Exchange (2003 thru 2010) and general email flow
College degrees or certifications are not a requirement for this position but are helpful if you don't have documented experience. An diligent pursuit of why IT works as opposed to how a particular model of an IT widget works IS required. The successful candidate in this position will know they don't know it all and will be a sponge about both IT architecture and using it help businesses (our customers!) run better.
If you love seeking out why both routine and possibly obscure systems work the way they do AND learning to connect the dots to what they all have in common, then this could be for you. Doing what's needed without being told and owning the results regardless is a strength few have, but will chart long-term success and rewards in this practice!
If you think you have what it takes, I'd love to meet you. Please post up your resume along with a cover note (or attachment) describing your view and what you want to accomplish and lets talk soon!
